Frequently Asked Questions:

We actually don’t get many questions, because most guests are just too nice and don’t want to trouble us, but we would like to let you know that a quick text is no trouble at all and we would rather help you work out how to use something than leave you thinking that something doesn’t work.

These are our rarely ‘frequently’ asked questions:

  1. Why is the oven burning my meal?

Make sure the left dial is turned to the fan only symbol.  The fan with a flat line is the symbol for fan oven and grill and this setting can burn the top of food.

  1. Where is the garage door key?

The Key is hanging to the left of the back door in the kitchen.  You will also find the remote control there to open the garage door.

  1. Can I use the outside tap in winter?

The outside tap is switched off in winter to avoid a burst pipe in freezing weather. If you need to use it you will need to turn it on under the sink (the screw head should be vertical for open and horizontal for closed). Please turn it off under the sink after use, thank you.

  1. I can’t connect to the WIFI.  How can I connect my phone?

Go to settings and select Vodafone and then manually type the password:  rffn y73E KmyL aMAx  (please note E,K,L,M and A are upper case)

  1. How can I make sure that the bath water is piping hot?

Turn the tap flow speed down on the tap until the water starts to run hot.  You can then increase the flow slightly.

  1. How can I connect to the Internet to watch BBC iplayer or Netflix?

Press the very top left button on the SONY remote control and choose HDMI then use the Roku remote control. (We do not subscribe to Netflix, but guests can log into apps using your own account).

7.  Do you accept dogs?

Yes we accept up to 2 dogs and the only restriction we have is that we ask that they remain downstairs (a stair gate is in place to help you to manage this).
